Find Your Way Back

It's been a long road since I packed up and left on my own
Not realizing what was owed until now that I have grown
So I put down this heavy load and I take up His easy yoke
Being He who showed in each of His Words that He spoke

And as I first begin on my journey I find myself all alone
For if God I can not see how will He make Himself known
And as I begin my new walk one foot in front of the other
I begin to hear Him talk but not like we do to one another

With every thought in my mind or the ordinary everyday
It is so often that I find that Jesus has something to say
Giving insight to know by placing compassion in my heart
And so as I continue on to grow He is always at the start

Now as I am looking back seeing all the error in my way
Seeing all of things that I lack in so causing me to stray
Yet through it all He stayed never once leaving my side
Through it all I prayed it being for my sins that He died

This is excellent. My poem "God of second chances" also revolves around the same theme:)
