Find the One

We all go one day and my time will come
My heart is cold and my mind is numb
I hope to grow out of thinking that some girls were just designed for fun
Will I keep having one night stands or will I find the one?

If you've read my poetry before, there's something that's known here
I've always been a victim of my own fears
I'm trying to overcome those, but it will take time
The one who admits his mistakes is the one with a great mind

I never used to talk to girls if they didn't have sex on the first night, now I stay away if they give it up on the first night
I know to some girls that may have hurt, right?
I apologize I'm not here to cause offense
I'm just here to talk about my flaws and strengths

As a teen, I thought love was a game won by who had sex with the most girls
I didn't have the ability to fix these ladies when I was living in a broke world
I had a lot of girlfriends before I found my first love
I'll always have a soft spot for Rebecca,maybe I don't mention her enough

I've been around the block
But i think I've found what's lost 
Sex was the fake jewel, now I've realised love is the real treasure
When you admit your worst mistakes, you start to do better

I've had my heart broken a few times, but I won't fear love anymore
I've slept with a lot of girls, but I haven't loved many before
I hope to find a girl who can forgive my past when my mind was dumb
I'm starting to realise love is real, I just hope I manage to find the one
