Finality

Why is it that the deepest love is not enough to hold you? What demons still torment you even as loved arms enfold you? Though the skies are dark and grey, the sun will shine another day. Why is it you don’t know this? God takes us through the winter’s sting with his sweet promises of spring, and pleasant days of bliss.. The sun is shining bright today. You wouldn’t wait. You went away.

this was a very sad time when my granddaughter lost her husband to suicide in 2002. Thank you, Joyce

Hi Joyce. I note your powerful, poignant poem was originally written in 2011. It prompted me to read your biography here at PS and note that your only son died in 1999. Is this the person you are writing about here? There is a tremendous depth of feeling conveyed. A worthy winner in Brian's competition. Cheers - Gary

This heartbreaker is a story too often told. If only one so troubled could see a light in sight while in such a state of despair. So sad dear Joyce...a heartbreaker.
