Sea of faces in a long queue
The final rush right here on cue
Chinese lunar new year's eve styles
Grab and procure goodies worthwhile
So many things to attend to
Auspicious feelings spring now woos
Share a reunion dinner meal
Smiles abound as cheer fills and heals.
The customary red gift pacts
Lucky money brings fortune's tact
Soon we celebrate a grand start
Spring hurls new year to charm each heart
These special times where joy meets cheer
A festive soul greets happy here
Time for tribe and kin to gather
To welcome a brand new treasure
New clothes and auspicious symbols
Town painted red and clash of cymbals
Lion dancing and fire crackers noise
Drum beats and swaying to rejoice
Watch fond goodwill design a feast
Cheer and attract the dragon beast
Under the moonlit pavilion
We sip tea and feel devotion
The modern times have come to terms
With ancient traditions that firm.
All our rush to prepare and dwell
Now turns up good feelings that tell
Here's to the Goat year auspicious
Spring time galore most delicious
May all your dreams flood far and wide
