Final Regrets

Exhausting myself to the end
Only to find I'm right back where I began
I had heard hell was constant
But damnation at twenty wasn't my plan

I have lived stories of falling
Of failing, and assaulting
Resulting in my final escapade
The only thing left
To conclude my legacy
Ensuring none continue the mistakes I've made

I guess the thing about digging yourself into a trench
Regardless of persistence to keep moving forward
You're still in a trench
