Fight Against Fentanyl
Back in World War II, young men fought and died
Their bravery and sacrifice will never be denied
They fought for a cause, a noble fight
And we honor their memory every day and night
But now we fight a different war,
Against a foe that's tearing us apart at the core
Heroin, the enemy within,
Taking young lives, causing families to spin
The battle rages on, across every city and town,
Young lives taken too soon, we won't let them be put down
We're fighting for our future, for all that's right,
To conquer this epidemic with all our might.
But now we fight a different war,
Against a foe that's tearing us apart at the core
Heroin, the enemy within,
Taking young lives, causing families to spin
Our world has changed since those dark days of war,
Our new battles rage on in homes and backdoors,
It takes courage and strength to take up this fight,
So much pain and loss to make things right.
But now we fight a different war,
Against a foe that's tearing us apart at the core
Heroin, the enemy within,
Taking young lives, causing families to spin
We'll always remember those who fought before,
And we'll honor them by winning this new war.
A battle against addiction and its cruel hold,
We'll emerge victorious with stories yet untold.
