Fierce Love

A tremor,
a sudden shift,
like the earth beneath.
A hidden fire,
ignited swift.

Not gentle touch,
but a ripping sound,
a tearing through,
a force profound.

Not easy smiles,
but a desperate need,
a hunger deep,
a soul unfreed.

A raw, fierce thing,
not tame or mild,
a heart ablaze,
a burning child.

Not whispers soft,
but shouts unseen,
a violent love,
a love keen.

Aswesome poem my dear poet friend, Dr. Padma. I love the rhyme flow of your poem. I think this goes well with rhyme instead of free verse. Your poem reminds me of how parent discipline their children many ages ago, but I don't think they're effective this new generation. A well-crafted poem which I greatly enjoyed this morning. Thanks a lot for sharing. God bless you always and your writings. Hugs

Child needs help, it seems. Violence is never good. Your poem addresses a difficult situation. You did a good job of bringing this to light.
