Notes About The Poem

Fields of Summer

deepest green forever fields
in mellow sunshine we laughed
as we froze in memory
petals on the breeze

yesterday's riotous hues
upon bird and bloom and tree
linger with the sweet fragrance
of fields of frolic

lemon orange and cherry
dawn to noon to setting sun
plum twilight ends fruitful hours
dreaming butterflies

'Let the hues linger... and linger some more.' Beautifully expressed, my friend. Peace on Earth, Gershon
