Field of the Fallen

“The moon shines over the souls of the brave and courageous as they fellowship in the stillness of the night.”  
                      - Quote by Poet 

We salute the fallen,  
We salute the brave,  
We salute the heroes,  
We salute those who gave all on the altar of service.  

We mourn their departure,  
As we place flowers on their resting places,  
We remember their courageous deeds,  
As we bow our heads in reverence.  

Their loved ones await their return,  
Still hoping for one last embrace,  
Tomorrow looms in the shadows,  
And the world feels like a dark tunnel.  

Let’s find comfort in one another,  
And offer solace to the bereaved,  
For sweet is the sleep of the brave,  
And their resting places are truly memorable.
