Fickle Faith

When life is good and blue skies reign,
Our healthy bodies free from pain,
How readily we can forget
The God through whom our needs are met.

But when the dark clouds loom on high
And fearful storms are drawing nigh,
How swiftly we call out His name
To plead for comfort or to blame.

Yes, indeed. We're all guilty of taking so much for granted.

This is so true, Wendy! One of the nuns in Catholic school told us God receives many prayers of petition - asking for things -- but few prayers of thanks. As Thanksgiving approaches, it seems important to remember this. Very nicely written. Hugs, Carolyn
