Ffreedom

Freedom Acidic words Slice through me Invisible knifes twist inside Torturing each nerve Mouth drained dry Too shocked to speak Waves of sadness roll down my cheeks From eyes once loved by yours Why so much anger? So much venom in your stare I did nothing but give My heart and soul were yours In a split second my world fell apart Tossed aside A useless rag Not welcome in your arms Nor in your life it appears You wanted to be happy Funny as I thought we were But another love you have now To cherish and to hold Hating me is easier I understand your guilt But why so much spite? I did nothing wrong Misplaced anger Bellowing insults Impossible to ignore I grieve through my tears For what we once were Admit your deception as I accept defeat I will be stronger one day And smile again once more As I remember your promises All broken As I am right now Because my love was worth more I deserved better than you My future is brighter Without lies and deceit I know in my heart I am better off without you
