Few Drops

Dark clouds hovered around
And no one was assured
Of the next events

The striking lighting ensued
And thunder
Slapped two birds against each other
With frightening clatters
The stage was set

And the elements waited
Like soldiers on guard
Then the silvery ropes cascaded down
With heavy patters
That turned the deserts
Into smiling savanna.
