Fever Dream

I once had a dream as the world fell apart I looked to the seas, where the waves never start Arresting the flow of the thunderous tides The shore parting ways from its union of lies Displays of the truth hiding inside the cracks Magma that rose from the lives taken back The ones left behind turned mountains to ash Such Beauty in bliss! Their virtues to cash A lone house defiantly standing in tragedy Time like eternity, displayed through calamity Fallen angels solemly singing in cabinets Bursting timbers, like splinters inside a kiss The memories destroyed of a boy in the corner Finding beauty behind broken minds of disorder He found a former smile with his truest of hearts New eyes opened wide; they ripped him apart Remember the chaos, she whispers to me Awaken the dawn of possibilities Remember the smile you earned at the end Gasping for air in the absence of wind Darling you know, I was thinking of you I thought of your smile; a morning light view Just know that I'm free of the tides in the sea Silently calling me to release fallacies No thunder inside to bely my disguise I'm reaching eternally without compromise I'm silently, patiently guiding you through One day you will see what I know to be true
