festive light

I see the colors, bright and true
Red, Blue, Green, and Pink in view.
Yet, all feels dim, a shadow’s fall
As sadness dims the festive lights.

Loneliness shines so bright
A spark lost in the night.
What once was bold, full of cheer
Now fades away, consumed by fear.

The colors no longer show
For sorrow’s touch has made them slow.
And in this world, where light hides
A heart alone still hurts inside.
