Feminine

Ancient practice knew
The importance of primal
Creation
The identity of birth
It was then
The nurtured seed of flourishing life
Rested in the core
Of season revolving
Planetary evolving
Chord spirit
Life

The dance of willing sacrifice
To die exulted
In giving
Re-birthing in mystical cycles
It was then
The natural worship
Of offering
Ultimate resplendent loving

Ancient this nature was
A primordial balance
Of intuitive understanding
A deeper knowledge let flow
And knew the identity
Of birth

Feminine

But witchery and rack
And bible black
Have distorted by men
The word of life to death
And love to sin
A picture perfect administration of heaven
The masculine doctrines written
Counted Eve responsible
For the fall from Eden

Turned woman to guilt
And prized possession
The plaything of capitalism
Over ruled by “man” made dogma ( godma )
The stronger reviled
To the weaker

Dirtied by sex
The apple core stuck in her throat
The equilibrium tipped
To favour control
By the power hunger
Of religion

Once long ago
We knew the identity
Of birth
The power of life
The importance of
Primal creation
The nurtured seed
Of flourishing life

Feminine

Wow. Let's hear it for women! Colin, this is a deep and powerful tribute, filled with history and truth. That second to last verse is so strong. You sir, are a master poet. Not the first time I am blown away by your work. A+ Amazing! Love, Shar
