Notes About The Poem

Felines In Action

My cat, Irene, on the top of my couch sat.
Her window to the world, watching nature in action.
Suddenly, beneath her window, a lovely Tortie cat.
But when Tortie saw my face, flight was her reaction!

How distraught I was that I frightened her away!
Irene, my cat sneered at me with displeasure.
Next time, I won't their contact sway.
Cat communication, the purest, observation a human can treasure!

A delightful verse! I love cats and cat poetry, Pangie! You have a lovelorn cat in Irene! If I can scare it up I'll send you a cat poem I wrote about a cat who fell in love with a Persian cat across the street and watched her every move from the comfort of our bay window!

Nice to see them play but strange cats you have to earn their trust. Tom

Hi Tom...all cats differ. Much like us, no kidding. Some humans are so closed to human interaction! They are like turtles in shells, others are open and trusting! I have owned 20 cats. Out of 20...two, no matter what I did would not trust me. It's just how they were. The cat outside is darling but I only see her from inside. What a beauty she is. Thanks my very good friend...Pangie
