Felicity

FELICITY
Free Verse

When I met you, I thought I just met an ordinary lass
As I talked to you, I started to mesmerize
I was enthralled by the questions you asked
And the way you answered, I was indeed surprised.

You're the joy and happiness of your parents
With angelic beauty, you’re the apple of their eyes
A lei of beautiful fragrant yellow rose
That blooms in the garden of love.

Felicity, you're so cutesy
your manner is sociable, folksy
Intelligent girl, pride of the family
God's glory as you perform your duty.

“ Read today and lead tomorrow “.
“ The more you read, the more things you know
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go "
Read everyday and your knowledge will grow .

Continue to engage in poetry writing
Soliloquizing is palatable, like talking to an imaginary friend
Ask the chickadees why they go on tweeting and chirping
Conjure them to perch on your lap, talk and play with them.

Someday, you'll be the pride of the Church
Like your parents zealously serving the Lord
Trials of faith we face, as we travel in this world
But with courage and faith, finish your race with flying colors.

1001 steps to reach the apex
The road is arduous, difficult and steep
But with God’s help and faith in your heart
In your journey you will surely succeed.

May God continue to bestow unto you
Blessings and benevolence He will imbue
Bright future the Father will endow
Forever love and mercy, to you He will grant.

FELICITY, we will part ways someday
Remember that in this world, where we stay
you've met an old gray- haired man
By the name of grandpa ERNIE.
