Feelings About Snow
When pristine white twinkling snow arrives, we adults cheer her prettiness. Marveling at her diamond like blue and white beauty. As her initial sprinkles arrive in the air our children cheer! Teachers can barely get them to look at their math homework now. We adults are high fiving each other, remembering the hot cocoa and marshmallow treat we received after a day of sledding. Excitement is all over the place. Two weeks later the snow is dirty and dangerous, gray and gritty, and it has changed into ice on the freeway. We are sliding into other cars, irritated and angry, hating snow and winter, thinking it is incredibly ugly.
exciting snow
frolicking and playing
tired of it now
