Feelings

Silence stretched between them
Moments where spoken words
Once said could not be taken back
Awkward in ways to find an apology
For when once said cannot be unsaid
it sometimes is better to not express
feelings that will hurt
but to keep those thoughts inside.

So very true, Phyllis. It is best to bite our tongue, rather than say something which might cause trouble or misunderstanding. Hugs // paul

Hello Phyllis … oh yes, just one small sentence can change two worlds. Step back, count to ten, and think again - thanks Phyllis - Lindsay
