Feeling love in a song
In the quiet of the night, I drift alone,
A hollow echo where my heart once shone,
A shell of a being, lost in twilight's seam,
Chasing shadows of laughter, fading like a dream.
The world moves around me, vibrant and bright,
But I walk through the colors, shrouded in white,
Faces pass like whispers, their joys a cruel jest,
While I sit in silence, a stranger to rest.
Yet there lies a spark where the melodies play,
When love songs embrace me, they light up the gray,
Notes weave through the air, a delicate thread,
Unraveling stories that dance in my head.
I hear the sweet crooning of hearts intertwined,
In each lyric’s tender, a warmth I can find,
For a fleeting moment, I feel and I know,
That love's softest touch can melt through the cold.
A symphony opens, and there's joy in the pain,
Each chord a reminder that I'm not in vain.
In the rise and the fall, I find solace, a balm,
The echoes of love songs cradle me calm.
But as silence descends and the last note has sung,
I drift back too stillness, where emptiness clung,
For emotions are hints, like stars far away,
Yet love’s fleeting embrace gives meaning to gray.
So I wander this landscape, half lost, half aware,
Grateful for moments when music lays bare,
That deep within shadows, where silence resides,
There's a flicker of passion, where true feeling hides.
Inspired about how I remove the emptiness for a moment by playing music because inside music I can feel emotions I have forgotten how to feel.
