Feelin' Free

Sittin' alone in this cold cell, No hand to hold, in this livin' hell Darkness day and night, for three years A noose round my necks, my only fear Grippin' a pillow on this cold cot, Rememberin' his last words, all I got Eyes full of tears, neath a hangin' tree Wishin' Johnny was in my arms, holdin' me Daddy's life taken for rapin' me, Blowed far away, while on his knees Blood runnin' red, from his head No more pains, for now he's dead Walkin' the mile with memories, Eyes full of images, all I see Bag on my head, noose is tight Lookin' round, in this bright light Eyes lookin' down, where Johnny lays Watchin' his tears, fallin' today Wishin' to hold him just once again Dead body hangin', from a noose's end Wakin' on a blanket, next to him Face shinin' bright, the light is dim Wings upon his back, protectin' me Laying here together, feelin' free
