Feel the Wind Sigh

Where's the smog And the pollution Only noise, the frogs No gangland executions Millions of stars in the sky Nights crisp, fresh and cool I can feel the wind sigh Nature -- not man -- rules Lack of excitement or buzz? -- Doesn't bother me I've fled Los Angeles For God's country

I love this one because of the focus on nature, one of my biggest inspirations. I love the line "nature -- not man rules." Indeed.

It's like your 'symphony of breezes' in your fine poem that I just read! Thanks, Tameko! :) gw

I love living in God's country in my little corner of South Coast, Mass., and I love the spirit of your inspiring poem, Gershon. I'll take Nature over city life all day, all the time. Wonderfully penned, my friend. Warmest wishes always.. ~Susan

oh yes, Dartmouth is beautiful as is Wesport - ever go to Horseneck Beach? Great waves from the Atlantic for body surfing, I spent all my summer days there (well, as many as possible) while growing up :)

Ah, yes! South Coast is nice, as is much of Mass. (I went to Dartmouth from 1968-1972, so I was in your state quite often). Thank you, as always, for your warm, inspirational comments, Susan. :) gw

I am in the throes of God's country myself, and love the fireflies and songbirds of the country, but you have to admit the lights in L.A. are gorgeous!

I don't know; I hope there's some kind of limit to urban sprawl. Maybe I'm naïve...

I love the wind, the clouds and moments that caress the sky. Mankind will never remove the calm that holds the day. God is still in control. Nature will always be. :) Brandy

So true. All we have to do is look up to realize how insignificant we are... Thanks for visiting my site, Brandy. ~ Gershon
