Feel My Love

Lost in the most, where to go
Listen in the wind, feel me near
Frighten and fearless, yet to flow
Close but distant, a passion so clear

She was all I ever wanted
But it wasn't meant to be
Being we were all I ever wanted
But we were never meant to be

Although I try to win her over
Day by day as I am getting older
I began thinking it was a dead-end
I'd always and forever remain just a friend.

I lay in the ground alone
Every time I see you standing there
Within me a heart of stone
Cold as bone, under a lot of stress

Life is such wicked hell
On this awful, dreadful day,
Sadness ultimately left me,
In this insane devastation.

I bet there are more of us who relate to this one sided love scenario than we care to admit. Great poem.
