Feel It
I break a bone and I feel pain
I cut my skin and blood bleeds
My headache hurts,
Toothache makes me want to scream!
The smoke is cold, the ankles ache
Been running hard, body's hurting mate!
Crawling now through a cold, wet field
Grazed, cut, bruised but still no yield
Enemy close, enemy fierce, enemy in sight
A fight will now see who lives through this night!
A truck pulls up carrying many armed men
We're here to take control of their communication tent
We're here to take it no matter how it ends!
Though out numbered 10 to 1
Though 30 miles covered since this mission begun
We wait for the signal and then we go!
Heart beat stays steady, body now is cold
The signal's here
We go, we go!
Ammunition runs out, weapon thrown down in the snow!
Close quarters now, get closer to take hold!
Knife fighting, fists, kicking, screams behold!
Dead people now, blood all over clothes
Broken bones I have, broken teeth, bullet holes!
Pain stays secondary as survival instinct holds!
The next time I think I've got it bad
I'll remember what soldiers go through and I'll feel pretty sad
I'll remember that they're out there right now
Protecting me from people who want to destroy our land
