February In Vancouver
February 16, 2010
Raindrops glisten on the trees,
Sparkling in the morning sun
Soft, sweet spring air –
Is it truly February?
Gentle little Crocuses, purple and pink
Awake so early, so brave, so eager!
A few towering Daffodils shining yellow
Stand proudly, daring winter’s touch
This year no whooshing down
Inviting slopes iced in white
Treks through crunchy snow replaced
With soggy walks in fields of green
Cherry blossoms exploding into
Dazzling pink before our eyes
Where has Jack Frost gone we wonder?
For we see no sign of him.
