Featherless Angels

Featherless Angels

I know a featherless angel
Vicky's Secret kicked her out.
She wont be selling bras again,
they said she was just too stout.

They don't want her on stage no more,
to smile and strut, turn and preen.
The only reason that she got
was she hit a size fourteen.

They think they need a Barbie Doll
to appeal to all the guys.
Irony is that most of us
see much more than just the size.

I have to ask who sets the rules?
just who makes this nonsense up?
I adore my friend just the same
don't care the size of her cup.

Women can all be beautiful
no matter what their size is.
So lets cheer for diversity,
when we hand out the prizes.

Inspired by my beautiful friend who really was sacked from her dancing job - though not at VS - for being "too fat".

Well written and well said Tom. I see what lies within and not the size of a woman.

Hi Tom and what a banner of inspiration for women not shaped like Barbie. Fantastic message and rhyme.

Thanks - based on a true event (though was an independent theatre) and made me super mad. It was nice being able to tell the story.
