Feather In the Wind

Feather in the wind
 whirling, drifting aimlessly
  without direction

   Detached from its wing
    carried by the gentle wind
     never to be found

      Somewhere it would fall
       and land into oblivion
        lost and forgotten

         A fleeting image
          that caught my sweeping glances
           etched to memory
