Feather

Floating through the trees
On the current of the wind
Soaring to freedom

Mounting to the sky
Drifting slowly back again
Smoothly descending

Dancing with the leaves
Swirling in a light whirlwind
Spiraling downward

Completely silent
Falling from heaven to earth
Softly lands below

Paused for a moment
Swept up in a gentle breeze
No longer in sight
