Fearing oneself

A figure sits in the corner, watching
Why is he here, is he plotting
No face or feature
Could human, could be creature
No height and no definition
Nothing to give recognition
Clothes that blur into one
Just a black figure telling me I’m done
No sound and no speech
Just a feeling they are a leech
Attempting to suck out my soul
Causing a complete loss of control
The fear and the fright
Doesn’t go away, day or night
This lonely figure plays with my thoughts
Everything becomes ticks or a naughts
The right thing becomes obscured
Never a feeling of being reassured
As this figure watches me closely
Making my mind more ghostly
Wanting me to pass over to the other side
The devil inside doesn’t want me to decide
This figure, a shadow of myself
Continues to linger around oneself
I don’t know what’s real and what’s not
Or is this something I just forgot
A conscience, a guilt or a feeling
There appears to be no end to the healing
Trauma caused this to happen
Only my mind has no compassion
It decided to play me as the fool
And caused my mind to be so cruel
This is bi-polar, never leaves me alone
Moments come and go, this has me overthrown
A curve ball has been launched
Bi-polar wants to see me scorched
This figure never will not leave
Sometimes cause me to oddly perceive
This figure is not my friend
Who wants to guide me to the end
I have to live, hand in hand, side by side
And sometimes he takes me on a bumpy ride
