Fearing Life
Life rages around
Mindless of the amount of destruction
She causes
Life rages around
And brings me to cower in my own shadow
Shaking, as leaves do in storms
Scared, as kittens are when faced with hounds
Broken, as poets are when faced with harshness!
Life rages around
Stomping over me and over everything else
Stomping over my fragility
My unique individuality
My self built fortress
As if, meaning to have it accepted
Once and for all
That she remains the mightiest of us all!
Life rages around
And I, cowering in fear
Can hear not, the sweet song emanating from the skies
The same song that has been playing since the
Beginning of times
The same song that echoes in my heart
The same song that resounds in everyone's hearts
The same song aiming to have us empowered with faith
So that, bold and strong
We cower no more in fear of it!
But then, the skies open up and hold out to me
Their glowing hand
And I, full of hope
Can only reach out to these, hoping to be saved!
But the skies remain mightier than life
Instead of saving me
They thrust me in the center of life's rages
And I have no choice other than
Stand up and fight
With the same might
As would a merciless battling queen do!
Pray, life scares me
But faith has enveloped me in such a way
That though fearful
I do dare and I do walk amidst its web
As one so convinced of her own invincibility!
