Fear Storm

Fear is looming like a gathered storm Running for shelter My rain coat is tattered and torn Running as I try to hide under a huge tree The lightning strikes I can’t hide from fear; it’s here for me to see Like a big bully on a rainy playground day Trembling, if I close my eyes Maybe the storm will just blow away It always seems to hover over my weary head No water drops, Just cold hard hail falling instead Striking my head over and over again I try to use my hands to protect it Now the blood flows in scarlet red Flowing from my hands dripping down to the ground Fear flows deep into the loose sand As the bright sunlight appears and try’s to surround Feeling the warmth the fear finally disappears Bringing on comfort and peace Hopefully to follow me throughout the coming years
