Fear One Texas Dusk

Fear One Texas Dusk

Prancing in the desert sand,
Figures circled hand in hand.
Fire flames danced in the night.
Horrified us to see the sight.
Distantly dark figures displayed.
We flipped a U to speed away.
Desert sacrifice we heard.
Satanism? Na! Absurd –
Anyway, we left that place.
Back to paved roads we did race.
Praying that they saw us not.
Long ago…almost forgot!
Weirdest sight I ever saw.
Fear ran rampant on that night!
Years later, a friend of mine
Told a story that made reason rhyme.
Satanic cults recruited in that town.
Back in the 80’s searches found.
Did we see them? Or did we not?
I used to wonder about that a lot!
