Fear of the Unknown
We all have some fear for the unknown-
Shall we ever be always healthier, stronger
Wiser, wealthier as we grow older?
When we move to a new destination
Would the place thrilling be and fascinate us?
Can we quickly learn how to speak the new indigenes language?
Would we be always safe, adopt the culture of the folks there?
Would they bestow smiles upon our innocent faces us,
Grant us their complete favour?
See us from eye to eye as their guests and new neighbours?
When we enroll in a new school
Would the courses be flexible enough to be studied?
Would the trainers, tutors and instructors give me fair treatment?
Would they inspire me to reach out to greater heights?
The fear of the unknown would always seek to know-
How would Heaven be like? Would I get a place there?
Can I always overcome sin, trials and temptations?
Would I weep and cry unending for the loved ones
I might find in eternal torment if I’m able to get there?
The fear of the unknown would always think and wonder-
How would our spirits fly from our bodies to the realms of divine glory
When to dust we mortals shall return to decay and decompose?
How would living each day for Christ sweet be and how expedient dying in Him?
