Fear of the Night
Amidst the good and evil of the
night
For the darkly heavens gives
out stars for sight
Mixed the sun reflections off
the moon for light
The serpent can see its territory
from left to right
Slithering past it's victims as to
give out a phantom strike
Has many clinch their fist and
barricade their eyes
Brings forth illusions too the
many unwise
That evil only comes when the
earth mourns it's skies
But even a serpent can carry a
disguise
For any truth can be covered
with transcendent lies
But truth can be found through
the shadow of their eyes
Where the wicked lay as their
hatred breeds
As if blood spills brings true
nature to a seed
For true fear is the driving force
to this heed
Who's the true creator, the
anchor for this deed
For it's us that falls to it's every
wish and need
The true arrogance of the world
today
That falls victim to this old
cliche
Fear the night until it turns to
day
It's a steady diet with an
unfortunate replay.
