Fear Of Moving On

My fear is standing next to my set future,
While my heart’s stuck deep in the past.
Still wandering lost in a love that’s gone,
Caught between what was and what’s to come.

Waking up every day, forever holding your peace, walking through the hours lost in your dreams.
Lying on my deathbed with a heavy, lost heart, carrying the weight of a love lost in time.

And though the future waits with open arms,
My heart can’t follow, trapped in past arms.
So here I stand, torn between two lives,
Afraid to choose, afraid to take another step.
