Notes About The Poem

The world has always been in one chaos or another, wars, rumors of wars, personal problems. The first thing the Angels told Mary when they told her she would conceive Jesus, Zechariah when told at an old age he would be the father of John the Baptist, and to the shephards announcing the birth of Jesus, Fear Not. Many times in the Bible, God tells us he will help us, do not be afraid, fear not, for He is with us.

Fear Not

Everyday the headlines scream
Fear
Constant chaos it would seem
Future Unclear
Shootings, wars, storms
Severe
Deadly drugs hoping Narcon
With death to interfere

Loss of income, loneliness, accidents
Fear
Betrayals, death
Nothing clear
Fears are real and can be
Severe
With that being said
Before our hearts fill with dread
Who can interfere

To Mary, mother of Jesus, the shepherds, Zechariah
The Angels did appear
They said, “ Do not be afraid, Do not fear
This is the year
Emmanuel,Jesus your savior will come
God made this clear

Jesus said I am with you til the end of age
Do not fear
My comforter the Holy Spirit I leave with you
Your future secure
So when chaos and storms in your life
Interfere
Remember Emmanuel means God with us
He is always near
Fear Not
