Fear Is a Prison

Fear is a prison -
Unseen chains bind you from truth,
                                               Removing freedom,
                                    Shackling your future, your dreams,
                                          Holding your life in bondage.

                                                Fear is a roadblock -
                                        Blocking you from your desires,
                                                Torturing your soul,
                                           Stifling your creative juices,
                                      Holding you back from greatness.

Fear is not from God -
He can break fear's grip on you,
                                              He can loose your chains.
Freedom is yours, if you'll ask.
Fear need not be your master.

I remember sometime back having the insight that love's opposite was not hate but fear. Was very helpful for me at the time. Dig the poem, Kim, thanks for the reminder. Beauty eve~N

Kim, you did a marvelous job with this entry. I don't see any congrats here, so if you didn't make the list, don't feel bad. I think she had a lot fewer winners this time. For example, mine wasn't on the list either. I like how you wrote this kind of poem for yourself!! Luv, Andrea

Bravo, Kim! Well said; fear will never be my master and its destructive powers are unfathomable by most. I haven't seen this contest yet, but I think you have a winner here! Love, Carolyn
