Fear is like a dragon, spitting a flame The media are now doing the same Controlled by evil, to seep in your soul It will certainly take its brutal toll It will burn you, hurt you, and even kill Faith must prevail with a strong inner will Kick the fear to the curb, have courage now This will save you and won’t break the bough Try not to give in to the fear today Take one step at a time, to find your way No matter how broken, you are okay We are in this together, come what may Heidi Sands 1/22/23 Placed 2nd in the Fear is Liar Poetry Contest.
