Fear has taken many By scrawny necks Shaking them like rag dolls They relax fully Enjoying the turbulence Giving up everything for the shaking Fear wears a mask Fear wears gloves Fear throws statistics on a TV screen Pandemic? Not here Not me some say For it has not touched them yet They take no precautions Fearlessly living Annoying the fearful

My daughter is an epidemiologist. She is horrified that my identical twin sister is running hither and yon, not wearing a mask, going out to eat, and pretending 116,000 Americans are not dead so far from this.

So apt! Due vigilance is for everybody's well being, it stuns me still. My anxiety is in check, fortunately in these parts most people are being respectful of the effort to minimize transmission. Maybe having publicly funded healthcare gives us something to want to protect; just a theory. xomo

Yikes, love. I can only imagine what it is like in the US. I don't live with the same fear of misinformation, I trust my government and media, and I understand what is at stake. x

I used to think it was not true, it was all fabricated. I am starting to believe because people will not come into my county. We are the most dangerous county in Kansas. Wyandotte County has had 78 deaths from this - out of the 271 in the whole state.
