Fear

I'm standing here looking at what surrounds me,
Who stands with me?
Looking at the roads ahead,
So many path's I can take!
The choice is easy,
but the first step I take will be the hardest to make.
Fear of failing and once again losing it all.
This fear is what holds me here in all this misery my dear.
Feeling all my past regrets,
re~living my life & all my past mistakes.
Fear I'll fail once more,
knowing what is in store.
My past haunts me each & everyday,
I'm knowing there is more for me than all this misery,
but this misery is what holds me here!
Too scared to take that first step,
knowing this too I shall regret!
