Fear

Fear. Anguish and terror. The darkness inside finally set free. Red eyes that gleam when they look through me. The knife in his hand sets my mind on edge. Fight or flight? Run, screams my mind But my heart says stay behind. As he approaches I can feel the cold shiver run down my spine. He smiles with teeth pointed and deadly. Don't worry, he whispers in my ear, It doesn't take long to die, my dear. And as I watch the blade descend, I know my time has come. Then there's silence and warmth in my soul. I open my eyes and let them roll. The dream I had sends fear through me But it's time to rise now. I put on my dark cloak and grab my scythe For I am death and I hunt tonight.
