Fear

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Fear
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: October/1984

What lurks
between
these walls
that
I can not see?

It creeps,
crawls,
and disturbs
my
sleep -

Christ!
What is this
that
haunts me?

When
I reach over
to
switch on
the lights,

an eerie
darkness
slowly
disappears
from sight -

and
what I
heard,

I no longer
hear -

For it has
silenced
to a muted
death!

Could it be
that
these things
that I
 fear,

Does not
exist!?
