Fear

I feared the shadows
Beasts hidden, no desire to be seen
I feared the shadows
Where they make you feel unclean

I feared the darkness
Demons prowl under the cover of night
I feared the darkness
They attack during the absence of light

I feared being alone
As the nightmares begin to invade
I feared being alone
Reliving your nightly escapades

I feared my home
Curled up crying on the closet floor
I feared my home
The real monster, sleeping next door
