Fear
Fear,
deep inside me.
Calm and steady is what people see.
Fear,
you didn’t let me fall.
You don’t try to bend my knees.
Fear,
you can stay,
as long as you don’t bother
every move I make.
Fear,
go away.
A nice thing I can do:
show you the door.
When I was a kid I’d think:
Please, mom, don’t leave the room.
Please, dad, don’t raise your voice.
Just love me, always.
Fear,
go away.
The history will fade away.
