Fear

I'm shaking like a leaf
I'm curled up in a ball
Pressed into a corner
Up against the wall
The fear is ever present
The reason quite unknown
The answer is in my head
But the door is always closed
The meaning of my existence
Is to constantly be afraid
The condition is quite serious
Positions I cannot trade
Some people call me crazy
But if they only knew
Lunacy would be so easy
Compared to what I go through
A welcome change of pace
A reality of untold truth
For if you knew what I did
You'd be petrified too.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

I appreciate both your comments and your lovely welcome. You've brought a smile to my face. It's a dreary, foggy, rainy Iowa morning, it's nice to see such a bright light from your words. I thank you.
