Fathers' Love

Fathers' love is strong and protective,
perceptive and fierce like diligent detectives,
They love their children objectively,
minus the hormones and sentimentality,
Fathers give their children confidence
and pride,
Teaching them the finer points of life,
so they don't get taken for a ride,
When their children hurt,
they feel the pain,
but they teach them that once they
are knoched down, they can get up
again,
Fortitude and strength is what they bring to the table,
Allowing their children to be honorable.
