Father's Last Wish
Let us be of one accord
if only for one moment
in this, our autumn.
Wait not for night
to weep for winter.
Instead, revel with me
at mid-day
for springs past
and summers yet
to be spent
riding white clouds,
wide-eyed and fearless
with remembrances
of he who has passed
into the light.
