Fathers Day Remembered
He was no ordinary man
From the moment, his life began
A treasure to his family
My hero he would always be.
We shared a bond throughout his life
He inspired strength, while facing strife
With his disease, showed me the way
Knowing my path would come someday.
A craftsman to the very end
Give up, he vowed he would bend
He’d wheel his chair into his shop
His urge to create would not stop.
The final day came in his bed
His doctor standing at his head
Dad made a joke, all had a laugh
Mom at his side to share his path.
Suddenly, his heart failed to beat
His final breath was no defeat
Tho it was time to leave this place
He died with a smile on his face!
