Fathers Day

Your chest was cold and still
My hand could not warm it
Nor make it rise again.
I said "I love you, Daddy"
I was angry at God and you
For no reason
No reason for the death of my Psyche
And its resurrection.
No reason for the pain
And its assuaging
No reason for the separation
And its resolution.
No reason for my Soul's anguish
And its final Salvation.

Dear Gary - Why no comments I wonder? This is tender and touching and you are a wonderful poet. They must not know you are here. love, Kathy
