Fatherhood

Fatherhood Becoming a father, don't take it for granted It's very important, this seed you have planted Will take on new life, and a soul of its own Everyone knows, you must reap what you've sewn The Lord has a part, in creating this life You'll answer to him, when you enter the light He places upon you, a very large weight To fail him now, the consequence great The rewards are greater, far from mild He relies on you, to guide this child Teach moral and value and always to seek him For if they do not, their future may be grim Such an honor it is, God gave you this duty For when done right, there will be so much beauty The seed you have sewn, you will see come to bloom You'll be able to notice, from across the room The fruits of your labor, oh how they glow They grow up so fast, so soon you will know How it was worth, the sacrifice Enough that you would do it twice Don't ever act like, your child is a bother God doesn't view that, as being a father Be patient and strong, and also forgiving So the bond that you share, will be ever living Then you will know, you've done as you should If you trust God to guide you, through fatherhood

Such a lovely outlook on fatherhood. May I just suggest changing "a soul of it's own" to "a soul of its own"? All the best, Sarah
